Summary

An invitation to an interview

Hi,

I’m the uncle you see every now and then. Let’s just stick with “uncle.”

You may not really know what I do or how I live, but I have been writing a book about once every ten years. I published one in 2010, and when the next ten-year mark came around, I was supposed to begin again in 2020. I started a bit late, so I am picking it back up in 2022.

This time I want to write about Digital Literacy. I have not decided everything yet, but that is the direction.

As the first step for the project, I want to begin with interviews, asking questions, listening to answers, and building the book from there.

I know everyone is busy, and it may be holiday time, but I would be grateful if you could give me about two hours. It will not be unpaid. There will be something in return for joining the interview, separate from your holiday allowance.

Below are the kinds of questions I plan to ask that day. You can think about them in advance before we meet, or you can come without much preparation.

And beyond the interview, if there is anything you want to ask me, or something that is hard to talk about with your parents but you want help thinking through, you can write it down or ask me directly.

I hope you read this around the holiday.
